Stirchley Baths: identity & print
Client: Birmingham City Council
Brief: Create an identity for Stirchley Baths, an Edwardian Grade II listed building / former swimming pool turned community centre.
I took into consideration the existing features in the building; such as architectural detailing, colour palette and patterns, to create the identity.
The Baths also commissioned me to create interpretation panels, leaflets, interior graphics and marketing collateral for the opening of the centre.
Brief: Create an identity for Maker-Centric, and design an A2 broadsheet leaflet.
Maker-Centric brings community participants together to speculate on and imagine ideal futures through the lens of heritage, place and the act of making. Illustrations throughout the leaflet were created by participants of the Utopia workshops.
Printed litho using Pantones neon pink and metallic gold.
Ingenious and Fearless Companions
Brief: Create an identity for Ingenious and Fearless Companions, exhibition graphics, 16pp exhibition guide and 4pp activity sheet for children.
Ingenious and Fearless Companions explores the adventure of curiosity-driven research through a quest to find microscopic life in space. The identity features a curve to represent the edge of space, and a constellation with six stars, representing the six members of the High Altitude Bioprospecting team.
Birmingham Open Media
BOM is a gallery and co-working space for art, tech and science, in Birmingham city centre.
I began freelancing for BOM in early 2015, and later in the year moved in to work from the co-working space.
I design BOM's printed materials, exhibition graphics, identities for sub-brands, interior signage and everything in between.
